uncle ruckus is a fictional character and the main antagonist of the american animated sitcom the boondocks. voiced by gary anthony williams, he first appeared on television in the show's pilot, "the garden party", on november 6, 2005. his role in the series varies depending on the storyline of the episode he's featured in. he can either be one of the main antagonists, major anti-hero, or neutral. he is a black man who firmly doesn't like black people -- the world's biggest "uncle tom". an overweight, horrid, detestable homely man with one oversized glass-eye, he enjoys disassociating himself from other african americans as much as possible, and is outspoken in his support of what huey calls the "white supremacist power structure." Cantankerous Robert "Granddad" Freeman is the legal guardian of his grandsons, 10-year-old revolutionary Huey and 8-year-old Riley, a product of contemporary rap culture. After moving the family from Chicago's South Side to the safety of suburban Woodcrest -- aka the boondocks -- Granddad hopes to ignore the grandkids and enjoy his golden years in peace. But the kids have different plans, torturing each other and provoking others in the neighborhood. No matter how wild they get, Huey and Riley are no match for the eccentric elderly man. uncle iroh, also referred to as general iroh and credited simply as uncle, is a fictional character in nickelodeon's animated television series avatar: the last airbender. unlike many other individuals from the fire nation, particularly those within his own family, iroh was a wise, easy-going, and spiritual man. he appreciated and admired the balance of the four elements, and even incorporated aspects of the other elements into his own firebending techniques. iroh aided avatar aang and his companions on several occasions, and was consequently branded as a traitor. an extremely perceptive person, he journeyed to the spirit world in search of his deceased son lu ten. his knowledge and respect for the four elements allowed him to provide advice to others; he assisted many close associates and friends. the world is divided into four nations -- the water tribe, the earth kingdom, the fire nation and and the air nomads -- each represented by a natural element for which the nation is named. benders have the ability to control and manipulate the element from their nation. only the avatar is the master of all four elements. the ruthless fire nation wants to conquer the world but the only bender who has enough power, the avatar, has disappeared ... until now. his tribe soon discovers that aang is the long-lost avatar. now katara and sokka must safeguard aang on his journey to master all four elements and save the world from the fire nation.
