Undead Conscience (Resident Evil 2-Mod)
2I noticed early enough that Ryder's appearance from The Sims 4 wouldn't really blend in with the environment of the more modern games like Resident Evil 2 Remake. I never really found the time on improving this since I didn't know, where I could start since I needed a mesh to build up on.
With the help of CrimsonCaligula, who reached out to me with an offer to modernize my own character after modding their own into a game, I present to you the modernized Ryder Odison.
I decided to return to the skintone he had in "Loving the Undead". In that Wattpad-Story his skin was pure green without any scars. When I think about it, it makes more sense story-wise.
His outfit has been completely reimagined by putting together parts from certain games. Mostly from Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth for his Jacket and Jeans-Outfit. The jacket itself being from a different game. The ninja mask from The Sims 4 stays.
Now that I think of it, I could have considered just doing a simple recolor to make main characters in games look like Ryder especially since his face is mostly concealed, however it doesn't feel right with me because when I introduce my own character, I don't want to make it seem like a modified clone of for example Leon, when I just recolor his skintone and eyecolor to resemble Ryder.
I've been working on this for few months. It was tough to gather motivation to work on this due to my lack of interest for modding nowadays.
I can't promise to make that many mods like I used to. I am also not quite sure if I will publish this version of him on Nexus. The reason I am considering replacing the Sims 4-Model entirely is because of how unrealistic the fingers, feet and clothing look since they appear "painted on skin" instead of truly worn.
