After a mere few hours, Unicorn Overlord drew me in, thanks to its vast cast and entertaining banter, coupled with approachable gameplay systems that seem like they can really open up in planning and complexity. Further, the gorgeous quintessential Vanillaware presentation only makes this adventure more inviting. While there's plenty to ponder ahead of its full release, Unicorn Overlord looks to be a smash hit if its characters maintain their staying power and the combat follows suit in a similar level of strength.
