2I measured dimensions in my bedroom and planned a new layout for it by stretching quads and cubes in Unity Engine and applying textures and whatnot to them. Still haven't implemented this little piece of "interior design" of mine, if you can even call it that. I'd say it's much better for getting the feel for a new arrangement of furniture than planning out on literal paper.
