2Unity7-Testing is based on Ubuntu 18.04 Development Branch. For next 9 months, 18.04 will be tested. Unity7-Testing is for the adventurous, who are not worried by a rare breakage.
Unity7 is based on Ubuntu 17.10. This the stable release.
These distros are what you don't get anywhere else.
They are pure Ubuntu!
The Software Updater, Synaptic would work by default. And, all other apps.
You can keep up to date with
"sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade" or
with the Software Updater app.
