Universal Pictures’ “Despicable Me 3” - 2017 DVD Review
This is a review of my copy of the original 2017 DVD of Universal Pictures’ “Despicable Me 3.” This is the third film in the “Despicable Me” series, and probably my least favorite of the bunch, with “Despicable Me 2” being my favorite. This is similar to how I rank the films in Dreamworks Animation’s “Shrek” franchise. The film takes place shortly after the events of the second film, where Gru and Lucy are happily married and still work for the Anti-Villain League. Unfortunately, all does not go well when a new villain named Balthazar Bratt plans a diamond heist. Gru and Lucy fail to capture him and turn him in to the Anti-Villain League. Because of this, Gru and Lucy get fired by the AVL, and all is not well for Gru and Lucy. Later on in the film, Gru remembers that a mysterious man shows up at Gru’s doorstep to tell him that he has a twin brother named “Dru” who lives in a faraway country. Gru, Lucy and the Minions, along with their 3 adopted daughters go to that country to visit Dru. Will Gru and Dru work together to stop Balthazar Bratt once and for all - find out in Universal Pictures’ “Despicable Me 3.” NOTE: Soundtrack Other Entertainment/Columbia Records, a division of Sony Music Entertainment. 🎶🎼🎵
