Developed and published by Fractal Phase, Sky Rogue is a fast-paced arcade combat flight simulator game with a colorful, minimalist aesthetic. Over the course of a dozen randomly generated missions, players seek and destroy both air and ground targets while contending with an increasing number of difficult enemy forces. Weaponry upgrades and flyable aircraft are permanently unlocked following each game, ensuring that even failure offers a sense of progression.
The sound of screaming engines surrounds you, bleeding through your helmet. Another god-forsaken island in the middle of nowhere. Another mission of ambiguous importance. Enemy aircraft are already in the sky, circling like sharks. Some of them are remote-operated drones, but others have actual pilots at the controls. Why are they always so eager to get shot out of the sky? The flight crew gives you the go-ahead for launch. No time to get philosophical; It's time to get to work.
