Title: Eclipse BaSyx: Making Asset Administration Shells Easy
Speaker: Frank Schnicke (Department Head Digital Twin Engineering at Fraunhofer IESE)
Abstract: Implementing Asset Administration Shells (AAS) can often seem like a complex and overwhelming task. Eclipse BaSyx streamlines this process by providing all the essential building blocks and powerful SDKs needed to quickly implement use cases. This presentation will guide you through getting started with BaSyx, offering an overview of key reference projects and practical tips to efficiently create and deploy AAS solutions. Whether you're new to digital twins or looking to optimize your AAS implementation, this talk will equip you with the tools to get up and running quickly.

Talk 2:
Title: SPADE: Building Agricultural drone digital twins with Eclipse Basyx
Speaker 1: Aristotelis Tagarakis (Senior Researcher at Institute for Bio-Economy and Agri-Technology, Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (iBO / CERTH))
Speaker 2: Pablo Counhago Soto (Senior Research-Engineer at the Galician Research and Development Center in Advanced Telecommunications (Gradiant))
Abstract: SPADE is a project funded by the European Union within the Horizon Europe programme, with 21 partners and an overall budget of 5.8 M €. The strategic objective of SPADE is to develop an intelligent ecosystem to address the multiple purposes concept in the light of deploying UAVs to promote sustainable digital services in the sectors of crop production, forestry, and livestock. As part of the SPADE project, we are exploring the feasibility of using Asset Administration Shell (AAS) based digital twins to model data generated by drones in forestry, agriculture, and livestock environments. Our goal is to create a flexible and expandable digital twin platform based on Basyx.
