Here are some bonus bits you can get from the features menu in the alpha version of Doom 64! Although the unmaker does not appear in any of the alpha levels, it is fully functional in the game and you can access it from the features menu weapons cheat. I managed to collect all of the demon keys previously, so you can see the fully upgraded unmaker in action and its just as powerful as the release version. And without the demon keys it reverts back to a single laser.
Perhaps the most fun part is the texture test and the music test, which you can see me fiddle with for most of the video. You can take any level and replace its textures with a texture of your choosing, and replace its music too. So you can take a hell level and change it to a tech base or the opposite too. It's a fun way to imagine a level either on phobos or hell. The most trippy of all is changing the texture to a transparent one like a grating. In the alpha version all sectors support transparency, so you get to see the sky behind it and the hall of mirrors effect (for the missing parts of the sky). I bet you can find some pretty cool combos!
