I'm just gonna copy and paste this from the Deck video I uploaded yesterday lol.

Obviously I'm diseased with a mix of nostalgia and pining for "what could've been" to have hunted down, installed, and ini hacked my way into this... I guess DEMO of Unreal Tournament 3 in the UDK (Free version of an updated Unreal Engine 3).

I still say that if Epic ever release the fabled UT3X, it should be a version ported over into the final version of UE3. (The one that includes the Lightmass technology seen in this video, which by now is probably outdated as hell considering we're on UE5 lol). Although, I hope they keep the speed of the original PC version of UT3. This UDK version feels like it might be the same as the CONSOLE version of UT3. It feels like it is 2% - 5% SLOWER than the original PC version.

OBVIOUSLY it looks gorgeous with the whole "entire map is lit by a single light source" thing; but honestly, it could be improved. Personally, I think it makes the maps look a little bit too monochromatic in places. It's like every frickin' SURFACE has that SAME beige tint that the sunlight source is outputting. Good for a desert map like Sandstorm, but I think Necropolis looks the least good out of the 4 maps. Too many places are just PALE BEIGE. Yuck. But the sunlight EFFECT is still awesome. If you do try it, make sure you don't pick up the Shield Belt in the Deathmatch maps because it will crash the game.

And I'm using the September 2010 version, since the 2015 version I found on reddit, although looks more refined than the 2010 version, is apparently missing DM-Sanctuary and VCTF-Sandstorm - which are way too pretty to pass up!
