Unreal Tournament 99 (v469+) turning fps limit off
This video is a follow up to this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bu-43FmdklI
In the new patches 469 and above, fps limit over 200 fps will not speed up the game, as a result you can play online over 200fps without "speedhacking". By default with 20000 netpseed you can get a max of around 312.5fps(netspeed / 64), it's best to change your netspeed before joining a server as most server don't allow netspeed changes and will most likely kick you.
netspeed 10000 = 156.25 fps limit
netspeed 20000 = 312.50 fps limit (recommended netspeed)
netspeed 40000 = 623.00 fps limit
There is also a new command for changing the fps limit, now all you have to do is open the console and type "fps [number]" e.g fps 150 to change the limit. Note if you are on a server that uses ACE and you are using highperftoggle mode it won't take effect.
On an I7 6700k with a gtx 970 with 16gb ddr4 ram, you can expect around 1000fps+ on average on low "competitive" settings, on max settings you can expect around 50-100fps less. This was filmed using the XOpenGL that comes with v469+, the performance is a lot lower but the visual quality is much better, you can still easily play with 200fps with it as you can see in this video.
