The image of Sengoku BASARA's Matsu is unrelated. I just needed something to throw over it when uploading to YouTube, and no final art assets for the game were ever made.
This song was to be used during cutscenes in the fighting game, specifically with a special hidden character you had a random chance of encountering. There's a certain famous wacky woohoo motion capture actor that, at the time, I was a big fan of, who I was in talks with to include in the game. He had agreed to appear in it, though the talks were never finalized (thank goodness, considering the game never materialized).
I did the original composition of this track. The idea behind it was to make the opponent sound intimidating, but also mysterious. KFF took the track and amped it up to 11, and I was a big fan of it.
