"Split vs single" is really the wrong way of looking at what damage type/infusion does better damage. All that really plays a critical factor is which one your build can take to the critical mass of doing enough over the target defense to hit the favorable scaling.


Here on a 40 int/40 fa "elementalist" build with minimum physical stats for weapon requirements, Sharp infusion (still the best physical one for Sellswords, forever and always unless you do 99 str/99 dex) plus the best Dark Blade cast on this build is less physical WP than the dark damage of the Dark infusion alone, and way less dark damage than the infusion.
