The variable 'heartwagon' is used to determine when the player is able to control the heart. It is set, of course, right after Kris throws his soul into the cage. However, 'heartwagon' is only ever set to 1 (See Figure 1.), instead of its alternate state, 2 (See Figure 2.), meaning that it goes unused.
