In the E3 build of the game, players were able to build up their rage meter through dealing damage to enemies and taking damage. Once their rage meter was full, the player can enter rage mode by roaring. This feature appears to have been part of the cut monster upgrade system since Simon Strange brought up "roar to enter rage mode" as an example of a tier 4 upgrade in an interview with Toho Kingdom. While these mechanics were removed from the final version of the game, the functionality is still there, for the most part. The rage meter does not visually build up normally, but I was able to recreate this through patching the code for it in the executable.
