► What happened to the other Trademarks filed for Wrecking Crew, Super Mario Sluggers & Rhythm Heaven?
As it turns out, all the trademarks in those articles were not renewals, but in fact new trademarks for their respective franchises. Journalism truly failed us in those days, stating they were renewals.
Wrecking Crew's trademark was approved on the 4th of March, 2020 - It was then followed in May by the release of "Arcade Archives VS. WRECKING CREW", a new reproduction of VS. WRECKING CREW. Super Mario Sluggers & Rhythm Heaven were also approved, however, we are less clear on the future of these franchises.
The Trademark system suggests that things ARE happening with those series, but Nazyrus is not familiar with how to research older trademarks - As renewed trademarks tend to replace the originals.

No - Past ports already on the NSO service have not had to have new trademarks filed for their series. There is zero precedent for these trademarks having any correlation to NSO service ports.

This question will be answered in Season 3, Episode 3, of Rate Their Chances, as that is when Isaac is scheduled for his next rating. Going simply by Camelot's release history, while also taking COVID-19 into account, it is expected to see Golden Sun on the Nintendo Switch within 2021 - An announcement could happen sooner, depending on when they choose to release the title, but Camelot can't hide what they're working on forever, and every single sign points towards Golden Sun.
It's okay to remain sceptical though - It's healthy, after all.
