UPDATE on MXL Mic Mate Pro...you need a powered USB hub

3So I took it on a test run and it sounded like garbage. Realized that the device is just not being powered properly. So after trying it on my powered USB hub again it works beautifully. So lesson learned. Even if my dynamic mic doesn't need power, the Mic Mate Pro does need it. Affiliate link below.
