Refer to this video and all the links below to install Android 6.0 Marshmallow on your Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 9, or Nexus Player
To download the hardware system images go here:
https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images (link updated 10/5/15 with final 6.0 Build, other instructions should remain pretty much the same. installing new version isn't any different)
It will work with any modern Nexus Device (Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 9, Nexus Player)

Make sure you have enabled usb debugging and OEM unlocking from developer options.
Also make sure you USB drivers for your device or it may not recognize when you plug it in with usb debugging.
