Bryan - Google has really screwed the pooch with Project Tango. Basically 4 months after I shelled out $1k+ they halve the price. On top of that they put out a laggy/buggy dev kit and pulled all the cool code that the community had developed for the previous phone based Tango kit.
I've been trying to put out my Point Cloud Animation Recorder for Project Tango but too many issues and limited support from Google has dampened my expectations.
I’m really disappointed that a large company such as Google puts out such garbage and developers are left shouldering the costs.
That being said, I've been experimenting with shooting 360 not synchronized video with one camera a Nodal Ninja 4 and creatively stitching the shots together in PTGUI Pro.
The results are impressive and with a little planning and the right setup you can definitely get away with using one camera and a Super Fisheye lens to create pre-staged 360 video content.
Mike - Starting to wonder about VR headsets (namely AirVR and ImmersionVR), but maybe Homido be the new king of the lowend VR mobile headsets. http://www.homido.com/en . And what about Google Tango?

Chris - Keep that filament dry. PLA, Nylon, etc are hygroscopic. A few weeks ago we talked about drying material in an oven but how do you keep it dry in the first place? Get one/ a few of these:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000H0XFCS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . Put them in a sealed plastic box to store your filament in and keep that stuff dry!
