Updating THEC64 Mini From V1.0.1
3Updating THEC64 firmware example. The video is from updating THEC64 Mini v1.01, the original retail version, to v1.1.4. The most current firmware version is 1.3.2 and you can use same firmware patch file for both the Mini and the fullsize Micro Computer.
Basically you just format USB stick to the FAT32 format specified for the THEC64, copy the update file to the root and find the update file as shown in the video.
Note: you should use a tool like "SD Card Formatter Tool" to format the USB stick to have the MBR (Master Boot Record) in the stick. Otherwise THEC64 might not see the USB stick at all.
Updating the machine is absolutely recommended: you can use your own software from USB stick, the emulation works faster and more reliable, you get even new games.
