Upgrading My Linux Mint Gaming PC To a Core i3-7100 (HP Slimline 270, Intel HD 630 Benchmarks)
Just a quick update on my HP Slimline 270-p033w that I installed Linux Mint on to experiment with Steam gaming on Linux. I swapped out the Intel Celeron g3930 CPU with a 7th gen core i3 7100 (2 cores, 4-threads at 3.9 ghz) and am showing some new benchmarks with the Intel HD 630 IGPU. I chose not to used the Radeon R5 430 OEM for this build, because the integrated graphics actually perform better in games.
