Upgrading the Derelicts! - The Desolate Hope: No Commentary Playthrough (Episode 2)
4Welcome to my official no commentary playthrough of The Desolate Hope! This game is one of my favorites, and for good reason! It's FREE on the Steam store, fun to play, has nice graphics, has an awesome soundtrack, and is made by the legendary Scott Cawthon, creator of Five Nights at Freddy's (before FNAF's debut). The Desolate Hope was released in 2012, and released on Steam in 2014. The game features Metroidvania-style progression, along with active battle sequences against viruses within simulations. You play as Coffee, an autonomous service robot controlled by a digital counterpart in order to investigate and eradicate viruses that have taken over 5 robots known as Derelicts that reside on a planet in a space station known as Lun Infinus. Please read more about this game on the official Steam page (linked below) and, please give this game some love by trying it! It is really well made, and super fun, and I totally recommend it.
This episode, we continue to upgrade our Derelicts, fight viruses, and explore the simulations. As we continue to beat the viruses, it’s apparent that the simulations seem to deteriorate, which might seem normal at first, but is not caused by what you might think. Coffee also is definitely the best character, providing the best comic relief in some of the best moments. Days 3-6 were very much filled with exploration and upgrades, which we’ll need for the next episode. Days 7, 8, and 9 will be big, I can feel it!
