Watch in "HD"
Happy Memorial Day & God Bless All That Served & Continues To Serve.
United States Air Force Thunderbirds performing formation and stunt flying at the Bethpage Air Show 2015 On Jones Beach. They pushed themselves and their aircraft to their limits to show off the awesome capability of the airmen and aircraft of the United States Air Force. This was my first air show and it was amazing. I am looking forward to going to the New York City, NYC, 2015 Air Show On Coney Island.

The USAF Air Demonstration Squadron ("Thunderbirds") is the air demonstration squadron of the United States Air Force (USAF). The Thunderbirds are assigned to the 57th Wing, and are based at Nellis AFB, Nevada. Created in 1953, the USAF Thunderbirds are the third oldest formal flying aerobatic team (under the same name) in the world, after the US Navy Blue Angels formed in 1946 and the prestigious French Air Force Patrouille de France formed in 1931.
The Thunderbirds Squadron tours the United States and much of the world, performing aerobatic formation and solo flying in specially marked aircraft. The squadron's name is taken from the legendary creature that appears in the mythologies of several indigenous North American cultures.
Maneuvers
A Thunderbird performance displays the pride, precision and professionalism of the team while highlighting the skills and training indicative of all members of the U.S. Air Force. Years of training and a lifetime of dreaming are brought together in the hour-long demonstration, exhibiting what the Air Force is all about.
Showcasing the utmost professionalism and the esprit de corps shared by our enlisted members, the sharp movements and rhythm of the showline embody the ground ceremony. As the jets take to the skies, the maneuvers flown demonstrate the awesome capabilities and skills that all fighter pilots must possess. From the loops and rolls to the formation flying and high-speed passes – these are just a small example of what is required of every combat aviator.
The demonstration is a mix of six aircraft performing formation flying and solo routines. The four-ship Diamond formation demonstrates the precision and training of Air Force pilots, as well as the gracefulness of the F-16. The two solos display the power and maximum capabilities of the mighty F-16 Fighting Falcon, a front-line fighter.
