Please read this description before asking me a question. Many times someone asks me something that I have already answered and sometimes it is very obvious too! But yes, there is much to say here....

Superior Update: Damn... I had a lot to add but I ran into the character limit for descriptions. What?! Yes there is a limit for these for those who didn't know! Also, Annotations have been added.

Action Replay is a game modifier (A.K.A Cheat Device). You use it to do lots of things like infinite lives, moonjumping, hidden menus etc.

The AR you find in story for the Wii are just simply for the Gamecube, but with Manual Code Entry disabled. Total suckage.

This Demonstration was made approximately at the time the new version was about to be released, replacing this old one.

My FAQ to get a quick start.

Q: "Where can I get Action Replay?" (I get this A LOT. Too much to say...)
A: You buy it, or borrow it from a friend of whatever the case may be like ebay.

Q: I bought action replay but it doesn't work. Why?
A: This version should also come with a special memory card with a purple "AR" marked in a circle and is black. This is the Hardware and you need this for any codes to work.

Q: How do I enter codes?
A: Add New Game → Enter Name → Enter Code → Done.
AR version 1.2 and up you cannot do this step.

Q: "I don't see an add new code option. I got scammed! What's with that?!"
A: Like many people haven't found out already, the Wii/Gamecube Action replay is v1.2. YOU CANNOT PUT IN ANY CODES LIKE SHOWN HERE if you got this new disk. I cannot express this enough.

Q: "Will this work on my system?"
A: It was designed to work an any Gamecube capable of playing games. This was also the case for the Wii, but firmware updates stopped this old one from running on it.

Q: "I need help it won't work for me".
A: I'm no expert but I will attempt to help out where possible. If you've read it this far then you probably already have one and just aren't sure what you are doing wrong. There are a lot of helpful comments made on this video, but if you feel the need, ask.

Now onto the video. Using Action Replay is really simple unless you get the newest one like this for example:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Datel-Action-Replay-Gamecube-Wii/dp/B00006FRDA/ref=sr_1_4/203-0062913-1025563?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1188248486&sr=1-4

So you load it up, go to codes and choose your region. You should know what region you are in by the flags that pop up. Make sure you pick the right one for your game.

Now if you have an older version load it up, find your game, look at the code to enter, then enter it in. When you got all the codes you want, start the game up.

At darkspinesonic's request this demonstration is provided. And to jazz up the rather dull experience, I added some music.

Super Smash Bros. Melee codes here. I tried putting in the 6-man Debug Melee code but no good.

http://www.arcentral.net/ = Your source for SSBM Codes. Pull out the memory card when starting the game!

Music in the video:
The Internal Locus by BT
Album: This Binary Universe

Note: Again, I'll try to help out with information, but if you are looking to get this disk, I cannot provide it!
