Long story short: Download the Xbox app on your phone. On your system make sure you turn on remote features. Your power mode has to be "Instant-on". The Xbox app preferences has to say "Allow connections from any device." Make sure to check the "Allow Play To Steaming" box. Open up your Xbox app and start the remote play function. Connect whatever controller that you prefer to use to your phone's bluetooth (including ps4/5 controllers) or connect through an MHL cable. Then start up a two/four-player game and there you go. Enjoy.
