I made this video about Lutris specifically to replace that old video I made in 2017 about Play on Linux. Technically speaking, Play on Linux is still around and it *does* work but it is not great and Lutris is better in pretty much every regard.
I used Pop_OS (which is based on Ubuntu) for this video because it comes pre-installed with everything you need to get Lutris up and running right out of the box.
That's right - with Pop_OS no PPAs are required, no additional dependencies are required, and your display drivers will work straight out of the box. What's not to love about that?!
Fun Fact: Lutris is written in Python 3.x whereas Play on Linux is written in Python 2.7.
