step 1
go into the prototype directory and back up the exe and the engine files (PUT THEM IN A FOLDER) also the engine file is called prototypeenginef.dll

step 2
take the texmod exe (file you launch the program with) and copy it to the prototype directory

step 3
rename texmod exe to "prototypef.exe" without quotation marks

step 4
copy the original exe and the engine file to your desktop and call them this respectively
GAME EXE = originalprototypef.exe
ENGINE EXE = originalprototypeenginef.dll

step 5
now put them into the game directory, when booted texmod will start, in the target application bit add your games original exe (originalprototypef.exe) and click it, now select your mod and boot the game and you have a mod installed...
