In this episode I'll explain how to best use the GoPro Audio Adapter on the HERO 8 camera. Unlike the HERO 5/6/7, the 8 has only one door that exposes both the battery and the USB port. You can take it off and plug the adapter in just fine, but the implication is of course that the battery might fall out during filming. That's some terrible design there, GoPro!

You can either remove the door and battery completely, then use an external power pack to avoid power interruptions from a lose battery, or you can use a third party door from ULANZI instead.
