An example of how the Power Replay 3 works on the PlayStation model with a parallel port but before that some of the Multimedia features of this cheat device:

1: You can play import games on your PlayStation if your cheat cartridge comes with a spring.

How this works is you open the Ps1 lid the pointy end of the spring goes in the tiny hole in the top right of the cd tray and the other end fits in the spiky mould on the right side of the Ps1 tray. Start cheat cartridge put any Pal ps1 game in the tray, slightly pull the lid forward till the disc spins and ends roughly few seconds and hold the position. Change discs to import game then close lid then press start game with cheats and repeat till it works.

2: Memory card manager to copy or delete saves between memory cards.
3: V-Ram image viewer to view the last image of what was playing on your Ps1 till you turned it off I believe.
4: CD Rom player plus to play music or music from the video game.

I basically went to these great websites below:

http://www.mogelpower.de/cheats/ps2.html

or

https://ecb.isp-vhost04.domservice.de/codebase/daten.php?system=ps2

On the website I typed the game name and searched for the platform the game is on, I then found a cheat code I liked consisting of 1 or more rows of 12 letters and numbers. I would also make sure the cheat cartridges right black switch is in the up position on the back of the PlayStation.

At this point on the cheat cartridge, I would press o on the select cheat codes then I would press o again on the words New Game Record to add a new game. I would then press o again and type my game name then once done press x to save then o to press okay to save the game title.

I would then press o on my new game title but should take you to that screen automatically, even though it says master code it is not needed for Pal games as far as I can see. I would then press o on the words new code, press o for my cheat code title then again to type my cheat name then press x when done then press down, then o again then again to start typing my 1 or 2 rows of 12 letters/number cheat code.

If more then one row once finished typing out the first row just press x, then down then o to type a new row.

Once done press x twice to o to save the code. At this point, I would press o to highlight the cheat code, which will change the code to a green color to show it is activated then press start to take you back to the main menu. Then press o on the words start game with code, then press the start button on the controller when it says start.

At this point, it will either freeze or work if it freezes just start over again till it works.

Hopefully, after viewing this Cheat Cartridge in action, it will convince you it's worth buying :D
