Using Windows Media Encoder 9 to Record your Desktop
Never mind my nonsense about being unable to edit the video, I didn't test this out after changing the encoder (I fiddled with the settings for this encoding), so I could have edited in higher quality audio. Oh well, I can't be bothered to do this yet again (this is the second attempt, the first one yielded a file of over 200MB, which prompted me to fiddle with the video settings).
Anyhow, this is a tutorial on how to use Windows Media Encoder 9 to record your desktop environment. Good if you're trying to make a how-to video using a program on your computer. You can record up to 1280x720, and this tutorial shows you how to set the program to save a file for you to upload to youtube (or wherever XD)
Used: Camstudio (x264 encoder codec), 360 Mic (could have used my camera as I pointed out earlier).
My first 1080p video in a while, since I now record my games @720p (For performance) and both Windows Media Encoder 9 and my camera have a max of 1280x720.
