UT3: Everything...Coz apparently i don't know anything.
The video you would be screwed without because 99% of people are scum bags, full of crap, or on the rare occassion they say they know something, cannot actually prove it or don't share with others when they can, sometimes even better, you ask a straight forward question and get back either your own words quoted back or cryptic clues like maybe, or it depends or just plain hate - but never an answer
I stopped doing anything significant for Unreal 12yrs ago. The people are shit at that point i could teach anyone how to get a game going from nothing to something to iterate on in less than 3 months. I occassionally, (every 3 yrs?) get prompted by ppl asking for help & actually help them successfully, or just want to play a UE Based game. So this month i fixed Alice2 info, physx for games, compared old installs with steam / gog updates etc & then UT3: organised several drives/ files, PhysX ensured working (all info online is wrong - noone on the planet has it right), coded some stuff, i hate code but noone else does what i do, or simply keeps it in their little nasty gated bad attitiude hater groups. Anyway that reminded about an old map (UT99 dm-pressure) so improved an existing port by applying code to swap the trigger volume for a real decompressure chamber, (i could not find my own map).
I have forgotten more than i can remember, have created more code, assets, models, textures, audio and improved or modded in some way more Unreal Engine (& other) games than the majority of people and did it in a small frame of time with sometimes frequent returns, sometimes large yearly gaps. I try to improve on content or do things things no-one has ever done, provide it to people and helped thousands, whilst being treated like crap by hostile, self righteous gated people & communities. Had people not been so shit i would have continued and after 18 years of UT3 and other stuff it would have been fantastic. Instead - it is still the same and nothing more could be learnt from anyone even after them having successful lifes, families and apparently being amazing and good people, and best coders ever and all the joys of life that apparently get donated to bastards like these - i can bu||sh1 on it!
People do not like it when they are called out on this stuff - them being atttackers, hostile, gated, eveything the opposite of unreals base rulings and upholdings of "if you have the answer share it" "or treat others with respect" . They can't accept they are being wrong because that would break the narrative they hold over people who know less than them. If someone thinks someone else is the best person ever - but they don't know the truth, then they cannot argue with someone else on that matter. Since i can point out the errors of these bad practices and d1k moves they don't like it.
A million people (fans) who cannot do anything related to making content saying someone is a good person and the best coder, developer, spaceman, mechanic, whatever ever does not make it true, especially when that person is just a hater and liar. Instead, ask another coder, developer, spaceman, mechanic, and they will have a different attitude, they will help you, and enable you to do more, instead of spreading lies
It is a d13k move to not answer or help people, leave comments unanswered for extended periods of time, then the moment i step in & solve the problem , to then make out like it is wrong or worthless and conveniently all of a sudden have something to offer so you can pout aggressive tactics and lies to act like your some hero, whilst provided basically about 0.1% of the amount of stuff i have done for about 0.1% of the people i helped compared to these gated hater fools whom have been active for about 99% more time than me.
So here it is, slow paced, fully informative, unedited video & rant, which will do the following;
a) remind me how to do stuff, coz no matter how much i have done - i forget everything!, especially the useful little things
b) provide enough information within an hour to allow users to create content for UT3, and as usual.. alll unreal engine based games. - although ti would obviously require iteration and time to extend etc.
c) reiterate that people are full of crap, the amount of stuff i have produced in the very little time i did it, whilst providing on more than several occassions everything that is ever needed to do it - which is directly the opposite of the crap others will do - is without exaggeration pretty incredible. The argument stuff is shit, when i would never dedicate anything more than is needed to it or whilst refusing to share whatever magic secret sauce you think you have to improve it is just ridiculous.
d) a reminder: doing anything the best it can be is simple but requires learning from those who can & will teach it. Progression requires participation of others, dedication and time. Fools who spend every opportunity attacking you ane be liars dhould be buried thei rown bu||sh5t .
