12For this match I've chosen to play Fortress in the jungle as the teams support / roam. In this update Fortress is a wrecking ball and can help your team snowball very quickly. During the 2015 North American Autumn Finals he was a constant ban or pick through out.
In this series of Vainglory videos I'm going to be narrating live games with a focus on education, plays, and trying to gain elo in order to climb in the ranks. Sometimes I'll win and sometimes I'll make awesome plays. But the one thing I can promise is that I’ll keep it as positive as possible and hopefully engaging.
In this game I was in a party of three and knew I’d very likely get matched against another team of three. When you’re playing ranked at an SA+ elo you’re very likely to see the Ringo, Koshka & Fortress compensation, it’s just extremely strong and if not countered is hard to beat.
Now, playing Fortress is a little different than your normal support where your role is to protect your carries. With Fortress you want to be the one to dive in and start the fight early and often. Playing passively isn’t something you want to do with Fortress, work to win the game as quickly as you can because you just don’t scale as well as some of the other support heroes in the game.
