“The next evolution of my AI multiplayer sim has arrived, bigger and better than ever before!”

*This footage is from a pre-release version of the mod and may contain bugs that have been fixed for release.*

Sometime after I completed my Narrows MP Sim mod, I wanted to take the experience up a notch. After considering a number of options, I settled on designing a MP sim experience with a BTB vibe on the iconic Valhalla. This map is jam packed with selectable game modes, this time featuring 10(!) options to play at launch. There is tons of fun and customization to be found on this one. Play your way - choose any of the modes at any time, as many times as you want, all from within the map. No replacing files or backing out to the main menu required! This map is great for MP warm-up, practicing strategies, creating machinimas, or just some good ol’ fun!

If you ever dreamed of being the host of your very own full 16 player lobby that wants to play whatever you want - this is the mod for you!

Features:

An endless AI war with all bots able to respawn as long as your session lasts.
TEN modes are able to be played on this mod, all selectable from within the map via placed switches in your command center overlook atop the Forerunner wall.
Bots spawn with and use all weapons found on Valhalla, all weighted appropriately.
Ability to trade weapons with allies, just like in campaign. AI can use all weapons in Halo 3.
Bots can rush, camp, and predict enemy positions. All dynamically determined based on the current situation.
AI can hijack enemy vehicles and ride with friendly ones.
AI use all throwable equipment found on Valhalla. (Bubble Shield, Power Drain, Regenerator)
Bots throw all types of grenades found on Valhalla in the same style as players.
AI shield and health values identical to real players.
Bots can melee and use melee weapons.
Bots use accurate armor colors for each team, and feature all Halo 3 classic armor sets.

and more!

How To Access the Command Center:

After spawning in or anytime during your match, place down a teleporter sender or two-way node. Then, place a receiving teleporter or another two-way node. Make sure they share the same channel. Also, set the second node to fixed physics (important). Grab this node, and fly it up to the command center on top of the Forerunner wall. Place it anywhere you prefer inside the command room. You will now be able to teleport up to the control room anytime you want. You can duplicate this process again if you want another teleporter somewhere else, like in the opposing base. Once you have a pair of teleporters placed, you can save as a new map variant so next time you want to play the mod either in Forge or custom games, the process is already complete!

AI Game Modes:

5v5 Team Slayer with Vehicles
5v5 Team Recon Slayer
8v8 BTB Slayer with Vehicles (Default on game start)
8v8 BTB Slayer Infantry Only
8v8 BTB Team Heavies
8v8 BTB Team Snipers
8v8 BTB Team Rockets
8v8 BTB Team Lasers
8v8 BTB Team Covies*
4-Way Team Slayer Mayhem**

*All Covenant weapons, gear, and vehicles only. This mode was featured in Social Slayer and BTB playlists of Halo 3 back in the Bungie days.

**Four teams of 4 players - Red, Blue, Green, Orange. Vehicles included. I threw this game mode together personally and it is very fun/chaotic!

Joinable AI Teams:

RED*
BLUE
GREEN
ORANGE

*Red team is not officially compatible with an AI faction. In two-team game modes, join Orange to be allied with the Red team. In 4 Way Mayhem, join Purple.

Bugs/Quirks:

Co-op does not entirely function with this mod. Bots do not sync properly for clients. Only the host player will see the AI behaving properly. This is a networking limitation that only 343i/MS can fix.
AI cannot actually pick up weapons, grenades, or equipment placed on the map. They have large amounts of variations of gear they can spawn with, but don’t actually interact with placed items like players can.
There are some leftover marine animations for the AI Spartans. I did not have enough time to figure out how to remove these. This will eventually be fixed in the future.
Please keep in mind these are fan made AI’s for a 17+ years old game/engine. They behave somewhat like, but are not capable of perfectly mimicking human players.
AI have infinite ammo and seemingly bottomless clips with magazine fed weapons. Their battery weapons can still overheat.
