Valheim Cut/Unused Content That May Hint at the Future (#1 Sprites)

I was extracting some asset files from Valheim for another project,
and I saw some weird things.
Some obviously pre-release dev assets,
some that may hint at future content,
and some stuff that maybe got cut.
as well as theorize what they could've been used for.
Today is going to be just the sprites I found.
Next one will probably be sound clips,
so leave a like if you want to see that.

Let's get right into it.

Script:

These first two are things you can spawn in-game right now,
although can't be used.
They are the odin cape, and odin helmet.
Spawnable by switching the words around and removing the space.
They are labeled a DLC item, and as such cannot be used without the DLC.
We haven't had any specific DLC past just updates,
so I think this one is going to be maybe a pre-full launch reward,
if not in a paid dlc later down the line.

This next one is named GD King Heart,
meaning Greydwarf King, which is the Elder boss.
There's also a texture file for a Bonemass heart as well.
I think these will be added eventually,
it would make sense if they all had a heart,
and you used them all to do something,
maybe another ability down the line,
or the spawn items for the final boss when the game fully releases.

Then we have a Horned Bronze Helmet,
probably replaced by the Drake helmet.
It looks like a sterotypical viking helmet as well,
so maybe it'll release eventually.

Next is a blue mushroom.
We have both red and yellow already,
but nothing about blue other than this sprite.
I expect probably when the Mistlands biome gets fully added
is when this will show up, if at all.

After that we have rotten entrails.
Entrails don't rot in-game as of now,
so maybe this was a cut food rotting mechanic,
or a separate drop used for different things.

Next we have a death icon, labeled SoftDeath.
This makes me think there was or is going to be,
a hardcore mode, or other type of death that is maybe gravestone less,
making you lose everything.

Next is an obviously pre-release sprite of a ship materializer.
This doesn't look like a boat,
but I have seen a ghost lookin vehicle from halo in videos before.

Next is a glowing dot that is called stamina upgrade.
I infer that this is remnants of an RPG like system,
with different stat upgrades, or an early image for Eikthyr's ability,
as that one helps with stamina.

Now we have two that go along with each other,
these are the sun, and sun protection sprites.
This makes me think that you could at some point get some kind of sunburn,
or be overheated in the sun.

Next one may go with the previous two,
this one is called sandstorm.
It has the danger border, so it would most likely damage you in some way.
I think this may infer at a cut desert location,
or may hint towards a future one.

Next one, but really there's three of them.
These are pirate chests.
I don't have any idea what the pirate part may be
other than possible content for the future Ocean update.
One is a wood chest, one is iron, and then there's a private chest.
We already have chests of all these sorts,
so maybe they are going to be the bigger,
better chests we could possibly get later on.

Here's a cool one.
2 Star trolls are brown in-game,
but in the files there is a brown specific troll trophy named Forest Troll.
This implies that either before enemies were star-ed, there were troll variants,
or there used to be a specific forest troll and the 2 star color was different.
In the files, the regular troll we know is labeled Frost troll,
further solidifying variants based on biome.

Also quick 1 one that isn't a sprite,
there's a text asset that says Google Play Billing.
I don't know if that's from some default setup,
but maybe Valheim on mobile will happen eventually.

These are just the ones I thought were interesting.
There's plenty more dev assets in there,
un-textured models, sound clips, as well more sprites,
some very obviously during early development.
