Valhellio - Route 1: Stage 1 (Aono Oto / Normal) (No Burst)
This is the first stage on Route 1 of Valhellio, on Normal difficulty using Aono Oto.
***Renamed (No Burst) as I didn't use it properly in this playthrough. Eventually I'll redo it, especially since Valhellio is already fun, it's just going to get even funnier :]***
***EDIT: Turns out to enter burst mode I should use the bomb. Wish I'd spend more time learning about the games I play -_-
Next time around I'll definitely use them more and might redo the recording for Route 1 using this trick, but for now I'll concentrate on the 2nd and 3rd Routes using this tactic instead since I have yet to record them.***
Valhellio is rather.. extremely easy in terms of shmups, a lot easier than other games, but for some reason it also feels better than what we get nowadays. Despite the lack of a big challenge, I absolutely love playing Valhellio. It's just fun to play.
I heard there is a "burst" mode when your multiplier reaches 100 but quite honestly, I've never been able to reach that high lol. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with point blanking, which isn't something I thoroughly enjoy doing in shmups and anyway, I've never seen my multiplier go any higher than 60, which throughout my numerous playthrough, I have only seen when destroying huge enemies and such or depleting part of a boss' life bar. Maybe it's easier to achieve on Hard.. I guess, but the only difference I've noticed isn't an increase in enemy appearances, but rather just an increase in bullets.
Despite being relatively challenge-free, I still decided to play on Normal out of an habit when it comes to shmups. Unless I feel the need to go higher or lower, I just always stick with Normal. Also, I might record Route 2 and 3 as well using their respective characters (from what I've experienced, in Story mode, each character follows their specific routes, but in Arcade, you are free to choose which Route you go whichever character you select).
