Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume (Nintendo DS) - The Smartest Moron Reviews
Developed by Tri-Ace and published by Square Enix, Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume released in 2009 for the Nintendo DS. As a spin-off from the main series, it changed the combat drastically by being a tactical RPG with a linear structure. You take control of Wylfred, a man who has lost his father and sister, and thus blamed the Valkyrie for taking them away. While working as a mercenary, he loses his best friend during an attack made by demons, and is offered a deal: use the Plume to sacrifice souls, gain their power, and then crush the Valkyrie once and for all. Despite some backlash from fans, was this game actually any good? Or did it truly deserve all the hatred? Let's find out!
