So many people trying to get closed beta access to the new FPS game Valorant and I was one of them watching streams on Twitch to try and get access, after 3 days I just decided I wasn't going to get into the beta so I closed down the Twitch stream I was watching (TimTheTatman) ( https://www.twitch.tv/timthetatman/ ) and thought ah well maybe wait. Literally 5 minutes later I got an email saying I was in.

This was a huge surprise for me and it was very late last night so I just downloaded, installed and restarted PC to activate it. I played the intro basic training and decided at that time I was tired and no point carrying on.

Today was my first day so concentrated on customizing controls and playing more training and practice. Had a lot of fun and now feel maybe time to play in a match after deciding my character will be Phoenix to start with.

Anyway here are my first day moments for you.

About Me

I am a 56 year old English teacher living in Istanbul Turkey, originally from the UK and moved here 10 years ago.
I recently lost my hobby of RC racing so rediscovered the joys and frustration of gaming.
I was the founder of ThrustWorld gaming service in the UK in the early 1990's so one of the first of its kind.
I still own the URL www.thrustworld.co.uk but currently do not use it.
My gaming background was of course the early multiplayer games such as Quakeworld, Doom, Duke Nukem etc etc.
Anyway these days I am playing Fortnite and only started when Chapter 2 Season 1 started. I cannot get the hang of building yet so painful for some people to watch.
Also I am currently changing from old school arrow keys to the WASD keys and it is very alien, but I will keep practicing.
