Valorant is one of those Counter Strike type of games but playing a group of preset characters with their unique abilities. I would say Valorant is pretty solid in terms of gunplay and balanced abilities, the abilities are the only new aspect of the game which are mostly about defending, distractions and front assault
It is one of those FTP games that doesn't requires high end specs to play the game which makes the game very approachable, the graphics are clean and a basic form with cartoonish look but that's what i like it, it is simple as i see nothing messy or detailed to see
The weapons are somewhat similar in categories and how many are there yet they look generic, for example Valorant has a sniper rifle that one shot players and a second sniper rifle that two shots players just like CS:GO has. The environments in several maps were mostly ok but some of the maps have those very unpredictable spots where the player could kill without the enemy seeing it which is cheap
The monetization is downright scummy and felt like a scam (almost or not), there's no currency system where you can get them in-game by playing and use them to buy the cosmetics. Without it, players could have gone insanely addictive in buying them and other games were not that scummy even LOL has that currency system obtained in playing the game. But of course you can just obtained the skin by just asking a friend and randoms to drop it or grabbing it from enemies' cold dead hands, it's temporary (one match) but it is better
I would say Valorant is a solid tactical FPS with distinct abilities at a balanced state, if you want to play a new 'Plant and Defuse' gamemode with a twist, take Valorant with you, the abilities aren't actually difficult to use like Overwatch, it is easy but hard to master. Speaking of balance, we all know new characters won't always be balanced sometimes
