I finally was able to clear Valtan Hard Mode Gate 1! It took a long time, but we eventually beat Valtan. This was a pug group and the majority of us were item level 1445, a few were 1450, and one was around 1460. All of us are new players to Lost Ark so this is our first time clearing it. It probably took us around 4-5 hours. This will be from a Reflux Sorceress POV 1445. I am the raid leader in this group so if you are Reflux Sorceress or Igniter Sorc you can see how I use the Sidereal skills to do the Wei Cheese and how I position myself.

I know most people will watch ATK's Valtan guide which is very good, however here are some additional Valtan tips that may help:

- Pugging Valtan Hard Mode is possible however it still requires a lot of teamwork/communication.
- Use discord/voice chat even if it's just for calls
- Use runs to focus on movement and mechanics vs dps as you get use to it you get a better idea on positions and dps. You will be punished heavily for bad positioning.
- Phase 2 Darkness from X35 when the boss is knocked down if you have one person hit the boss with a Dark Nade and everyone awakening skills right there to get out of this phase faster. The darkness phase is very difficult and uses up a lot of pots/panacea and requires a lot of coordination to free allies.
- Make sure your team has many hours to try and beat this, it is hard when your team is really close to the minimum ilvl because if you don't dish out enough dps at the end the Boss will go Berserk and do massive amounts of damage to wipe your team
- I tried 8x dps groups I think it's possible, however everyone needs to know the mechs to dodge otherwise you will most likely wipe at either the darkness phase or phase 4
- Make sure you have everyone check pots from time to time. We had a few runs were people ran out and had wasted time.
- With the Wei Cheese it did not break the Stagger for me it was close so what we did was after I pulled the orbs everyone ran up to whirlwind/stagger to break it easily.
- When you feel like the party has the hang for the instance if someone dies right away or before the stagger, it's probably a better idea to start over. You will most likely need the extra dps and will cut it close if the boss goes berserk. Everyone in the party here was 3x3 4x3 engravings and 5-7 gems if that gives you a idea on the damage.
