Valve Source Code 2013 Tutorial (Episode 17): Adding The Stunstick & Fixing Glow Effects
Hello everyone and welcome to a new (probably short) series of videos I do involving the source code from Valve for Half-Life 2, and some guides on how to do stuff with this code. In this episode, I outline how to add the Stunstick from Half-Life 2: Deathmatch into a Singleplayer mod, plus how to fix glow effects that are supposed to show when swinging (which isn't present in Multiplayer mods) and impact sounds (which are present in Multiplayer mods). Much like with the SLAM tutorial, I feel this video is more complicated than it needed to be, but at least everything works...or does it? Please let me know what you think and see you for whatever I decide to do next, thanks for watching!
UPDATE: I previously stated that I thought this tutorial didn't need a followup, but here's a followup video with a fix for Metrocop functionality that I inadvertently broke as a result of doing this tutorial the way I did!: https://youtu.be/nczWHAplPcI
