Valve have confirmed that both AMD and Intel will be offered in the product range of Valve's upcoming steam machines. Previously, the prototype beta hardware had only featured Nvidia graphics card. But it has been confirmed there will be a wide range of AMD and Intel GPU's on offer.

This fits in of course with Valve's open policy for software and hardware of their Steam Machine platform and Gabe Newell's vision for the future.
