Microsoft's Andrew Gossen (A MS Technical Fellow) and Nick Baker have spoken much about the architecture surrounding the Xbox One. To MS, there are numerous misconceptions about the system and they have been trying their best to clear it up.

In this video, I finish off the interview and prepare you for my analysis and conclusions of Microsoft's comments. In this video we start to discuss their opinions on the GPU - that their 6.6 percent clock speed increase has given better performance than an additional extra 2 compute units. we also speak about the Xbox One's Shape - a custom designed audio block, which combined with the Data Move Engines help to reduce the workload on the CPU.

Microsoft have stated that the increase in the AMD Jaguar CPU's clock speed, by 150MHZ of the X1 have given a greater stability in frame rates than the GPU. They believe that many games have been CPU limited - where the AMD Jaguar is simply unable to keep up with the Sea Island GPU.
