I tested different tank heroes in the Crimson abyss level 13 autobattle, but only two tank heroes survived and cleared the level 13 crimson abyss boss and that is Zaida and Vegnus.
Before moving to the Vegnus equipment and strategy lets see first the equipment that I used on my support heroes and summoner heroes and we can start with miranda. Miranda is already excellent with this gear which is the herald set as long as you have 150 accuracy that that will be good or you can also use Masrani but Miranda is the best support in the crimson abyss boss.
Next is Daniel and the best equipment for him in bosshunt is the madness set together with the hero set and all main stats are attack and substats should be attack also, for better damage and HP of summoned units. Full Hero set of equipment is also excellent to use on daniel in bosshunt.
The next hero is Anpu, and Surge Set is the best equipment for him in boss hunt, with a minimum of 100 accuracy, would be good also, but in my case, I used equipment with more than 200 accuracy. Full hero set of equipment is also excellent to use, provided you try to get at least +100 accuracy on the substats or you can use accuracy gears also.
Next is Sorvaley, and I used a light gap because I have +3 accuracy substats on these gears but it is best to use Vigorous and accuracy set, and the Typical accuracy build should be a minimum of +100 accuracy on your equipment and that is excellent already in bosshunt.
And last is the Hero Vegnus and this is only a test using Blessed Set and Vigorous set with HP main stats and damage reduction boots. It is quite hard to find a blessed boots with damage reduction and it would be best to use that gear. The best equipment for Vegnus is still the Abundant Set but I will explain later why I chose this blessed set for him.
I haven't really found a time to defeat the level 14 crimson abyss and still I haven't tried it using my current heroes. What I do daily is to do autobattle on crimson abyss 13 using Zaida as a tank. If you will use Zaida or Vegnus in this Crimson abyss, use the prototype Ancestral Will because this provides more healing than the abundant set and can also enhance your shielding capabilities. That is why the Abundant set is not required for venus in this current set up.
I will just set this to autobattle and this means that if vegnus can withstand the damages coming from this level 13 boss, then that means vegnus is a solid tank and maybe viable in stage 14 or 15, but I think those stages requires massive damages so that time will not run out, preventing heroes from falling the abyss cliff. Takenote that Vegnus here is only at Legendary 4 crystal and I tested Bohr, Pandemonium, Oak and Oisa at immortal crystal 5 and all of them failed.
If you have a strong summoner heroes, Tanks are excellent to use in this boss because 1 tank is equivalent or counted as 3 units, and this will save you from falling down the abyss cliff early in the battle.
This video is intended for new players who want to defeat the crimson abyss levels early in the game and this will give you lots of rewards for hyper evolution.
