wow this was a journey. basically, this level is kinda the reason im still playing the game. so for those who didnt know, back around the time i verified block disaster back in late september of last year, i had swapped to my 240hz monitor on my laptop, and that gave me a MASSIVE skill boost. however, after a while I decided that using the monitor wasnt a great idea since it lagged my laptop a ton, and after that i lost all the skill i had just gotten and was at the lowest amount of motivation to play this game EVER. every level i played felt boring and unfun, and either too easy for me to finish or too far out of my skill range. one day tho, shadow was working on a sequel to unlimited (one of my favorite levels of all time) (also its this level) and it looked really fun, so once he was done making it, i asked if i could get an early copy to playtest and he said sure. when i started playing this all motivation to play came back, this level was the most fun i had ever had, and it felt like enough of a challenge to take me a while, but also not too hard. anyway I played it on and off for months making slow progress (on purpose for the most part since shadow was the verifier) until around a week or two ago when I got 65 (choke) and 41-100. I had the level in 2 runs and it was super fun to play, however I couldn't finish it off since shadow was still the verifier and wasn't playing it since it wasn't the top of his priorities list. so i asked him to verify it if possible and he said that i was allowed to verify it. i was overjoyed, a chance to verify my favorite level? awesome! things went smoothly after that right? LMAO NO. after a while i realized i was just not getting consistent with the level whatsoever, making it super annoying to play, to add onto that I got mindblocked at super easy clicks making it extra annoying as I would die to the same few clicks that where stupid easy to me from runs. it got to a point where i just wasnt enjoying the level anymore, after a while tho i decided to do a few things. 1. nerf the clicks i was mindblocking. since i was verifying i didnt want anyone else's experience to be ruined so i nerfed the clicks i thought were annoying. 2. swap to keyboard. as much as i wanted a new hardest on mouse, i couldnt finish this off with how stamina based the level is. anyway, enough of that, i also got horribly unlucky with deaths at 87%, 93% and an unfortunate death at 99% this session (i'll put these all in a content video dw, if i dont end up doing so there will be just a clip dump uploaded to my second channel @yoshicircles ). anyways, hope you enjoyed this little rant and i hope people end up enjoying this level.
