VGM has fostered the best community I've ever been a part of...
The full argument of my thesis is that, from the relaxing tunes of Animal Crossing to the ballads of Chrono Trigger, VGM is a legitimate form of art, it unlocks nostalgia in a way other forms of art do not, it fosters community, and, if music therapy is a form of therapy in the first place, such a medium would be enhanced through the usage of VGM based on all prior factors.
Most importantly though, it fosters community, something insanely important for the human experience!
