when I power it up in the orginal laptop, it won't boot despite trying about 4 times before playing dead until it manually reswitch the power.

Tech stuff:
a toshiba MK1923FCV hard drive with 351mb capacity, it originates from my retro toshiba T2110 monochrome laptop from 1995.
