This is our second attempt at a short run as Legitimist France to restore the House of Bourbon, who ruled France prior to the French Revolution. With the experience of the previous run well in hand, I'm going to be more focused on increasing the power of the interest groups in government that support the House of Bourbon, as well as being more conscientious about weakening the ones that will support our enemies, the House of Bonaparte and the House of Orleans.
Episode seventeen sees a communist uprising in Prussia, triggering a red scare in France. As the bastion of traditionalist rule in Europe, however, we jump at the chance to assist a fellow aristocratic monarchy in suppressing any notion of popular rule among their populace. It doesn't hurt that Prussia offers us a huge pile of cash, either, which we turn around and spend on a massive economic expansion. At the end of the episode, we make the same deal with Austria over a minor secession movement, and now, silver is flowing from all the large, wealthy nations of Europe into France's coffers. Stonks!
