People complain about GPU sag all the time, but we wanted to see if GPU sag actually impacts thermal and frequency performance on a 1080 Ti Xtreme.

Rather than show a fix for GPU sag, we wanted to look at the impacts of a sagging video card. Our temporary fix involved a wire (for hanging pictures) tied around a radiator screw, but one could also buy or make supports that are specifically built for the task of propping-up a droopy video card. The Gigabyte GTX 1080 Ti Xtreme is one of the heaviest cards we've ever worked with, and most of its weight ends up right-side and unsupported.
