They use thirty tiers and four age groups to determine the proper age for a piece of media. And yet, they've been massively controversial, with some odd mistakes in the past, and their system is overall incredibly confusing. So let's break down their history, explain their system, and propose a new way to express the maturity levels of a piece of content.
