Video Game Pickups from Columbus and CORGS-Con!
42After an incredible convention day at CORGS, John Riggs and I spent the next day exploring downtown Columbus, Ohio and the surrounding area - and we were decidedly not disappointed! We visited four incredible geek stores all around Columbus, with some of the best toy and video game selections I've ever seen. Stay tuned throughout to see the pickups from the shops and from CORGS itself!
Before we did anything, John and I visited High Street in Columbus, and walked around a really awesome art district and got coffee from One Line Coffee. After that, we looked at some of the art installations, before we visited Big Fun, an incredible nostalgia bomb of a toy store that had an incredible selection of action figures, vehicles, and gag gifts dating all the way back to the 40's and 50's. Next up was Capital Games, a magnificent (and deceptively large!) game store that also carried some toys and D&D books and minis. Third, we went to Forever Games, a vender we were both familiar with from conventions, and got to see their home base - a lovely mix of awesome video games and an entire back room dedicated to TCG games like Pokemon. Finally, we swung by Game Depot, and were treated to some truly epic options for systems like Atari, the Game Gear, PS1, and modern systems.
